We are thrilled to announce that one of our Seniors, Jeremy Bush, has been named one of the Semifinalists in the 69th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These academically talented high school seniors have the opportunity to compete for some 7,140 National Merit Scholarships worth almost $28 million that will be awarded next spring. To move on to the Finalist level of the competition, Semifinalists must meet several requirements. It is expected that around 95% of the Semifinalists will qualify for the Finalist standing, and nearly 50% of the Finalists will receive a National Merit Scholarship, earning the title of Merit Scholar®. Way to go Jeremy!!!

Last Friday, the Upper School held its traditional homecoming dance, which was the culmination of a week-long celebration of school spirit. In addition to the much-anticipated dance, the students enjoyed a week filled with various activities, such as Spirit Week and the Pep Rally. It was a remarkable week that was brimming with Kingfisher pride!

In Mr. Georges' classes, students are working on developing their creative and artistic skills while getting more comfortable expressing themselves through their works of art. They have begun to create their artistic identity through designing their name, completing an Eye Self Portrait, learning about 1-point perspective, and following their artistic intuition.
