IC Imagine Families,
It has been an exciting start to the school year, and I want to take a moment to share a few updates and celebrate all that is happening within our community.
First, our plaza renovation project continues to make great progress! We are nearing the finish line and anticipate the current work being completed within the next few weeks. Thank you for your patience and flexibility these first weeks of school. We are excited to see these improvements come together and to enjoy the finished spaces with our students.
Our academic outcomes during the 25-26 school year showed a significant amount of growth and improvement. This is the result of our students' and teachers' hard work, and we are excited to celebrate this with everyone. In the coming weeks, the state of North Carolina will release official data, so look out for more information soon!
Just this month, IC Imagine was recently recognized in the U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings. While this recognition specifically highlights our High School, it represents the hard work happening throughout our entire K–12 community. Student success doesn't begin in high school; it is built year after year through the dedication of our students, teachers, staff, and families. We are incredibly proud of this recognition and what it says about our school community.
As we celebrate our growth, we continue to welcome new families. We currently have a limited number of openings in Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 6th grade. When we ask new families how they heard about IC Imagine, one of the most common answers is you, our current families! You truly are our greatest advocates. When you tell a friend, neighbor, coworker, or family member about your experience at IC Imagine, it makes a difference. Thank you for sharing our story or writing a review, both of which help other families discover our school.
In the coming weeks, you will receive a letter asking your family to make a donation to our school. I hope you will consider the positive impact IC Imagine and our dedicated teachers and staff are having on our students and make a contribution. As a public charter school, we receive fewer funding resources than traditional public schools, making your support especially meaningful.
There is so much to celebrate at IC Imagine, but what makes our school truly special are the everyday moments. Watching students grow in confidence, teachers bring learning to life, and families come together to support our community. Thank you for choosing IC Imagine, trusting us with your children, and continuing to be some of our greatest advocates. We are grateful to have you as part of our community and look forward to all this school year has in store.
