Lower School Families,

It’s been a busy and exciting week here at IC Imagine. As we look ahead to wrapping up 2025 and heading into Winter Break, our classrooms have been full of creativity and joy. Kindergarten hosted their Alphabet Parade, and our 3rd and 4th graders are reading “Balloons Over Broadway” and are beginning a STEM project where they will design and build their own parade balloons to showcase in a mini-parade next week.

Here is our 2026–2027 School Calendar. Please take a moment to review it so you can plan ahead for next school year.

Over Winter Break, we encourage you to help your student keep reading each night. Whether they read on their own or with a family member, a few minutes makes a big impact in building confidence and a love of reading.

Help us welcome our teachers back on Jan 2nd! The Staff Appreciation Committee needs volunteers and food donations for a special lunch. [Get Involved]

We also want to share a special opportunity. One of our Upper School students, Lucia Ferrell, will be singing the National Anthem at this weekend’s UNC Asheville Women’s Basketball game. IC Imagine students and families can purchase discounted tickets using the link for the 11/22 game and enter the coupon code IC2025! at checkout.

Our K-2 Winter AMOS after school program will begin on January 7th. There are still spots remaining! Sign up on Infinte Campus.

Our annual 5-week ski and snowboard program at Cataloochee begins January 5, 2026. This program is open to beginners and experienced riders alike. More details were emailed on Wednesday, November 19.[Register here]

Looking ahead, there are several events to enjoy during Winter Break and in the new year. On Tuesday, December 9, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., families are invited to join us at Launch Trampoline Park. IC Imagine will receive 20 percent of all ticket sales during that time, offering a fun way to support our school.

Chorus is hosting a Lower School Generation Dance on Friday, January 9 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the gym. This 50s-themed sock hop is a family event for parent and child pairs, grandparents and grandchildren, siblings, and more. Tickets are ten dollars per person and are available through Infinite Campus. Families are welcome to dress in 50s style, and socks are required since shoes will not be allowed on the dance floor. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase, and all proceeds support the Upper School Chorus Trip.

Winter Break camp options are also available. Zaniac is offering a variety of camps throughout December. Winter Pottery Camp still has both weeklong and single-day spots for the weeks of December 1–5 and December 8–12..
