Lower School Families,

We packed a lot of learning into this short week, and our students continue to impress us with their curiosity, kindness, and hard work!

It was wonderful seeing so many of you at Open House last night. We truly value the partnership between home and school, and we appreciate you taking the time to connect with us. As a part of our open house, we shared our Title 1 information with families. For those interested, but unable to attend last night, here is the Annual Title I Information that was shared.  Additionally, our Title 1 webpage is always kept up to date for families.

Join us at one of our Fine Arts events next week! On Tuesday, November 18, at 6 PM, our Middle and Upper School Choruses will perform their Winter Concert — a wonderful way to welcome the winter season. Then, on Thursday, November 20, the Fine Arts Team will host our first-ever Winter Market from 3:30–6:00 PM, featuring handmade student artwork, warm drinks, cookies, and donation-based gift wrapping. That evening from 5:30–7:30 PM, our Middle and Upper School Bands will take the stage for their Winter Concert. It’s the perfect week to celebrate the arts and kick off the winter season together!

As the weather gets colder, please be sure your child comes to school dressed in warm layers. We also kindly ask that you write your child’s name inside coats, sweatshirts, hats, and other items. Our Lost & Found is overflowing, and many items don’t have names, making it difficult for us to return them. We’d love to reunite these belongings with their owners before we donate unclaimed items — labeling clothing is a huge help.

Mark your calendars for these upcoming events!

  • Kendra Gives Back event at Kendra Scott in Biltmore Park Town Square on Saturday, November 15th, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. Enjoy sips, sweets, and shopping while supporting the IC Imagine Cheer Team—20% of all purchases will go directly to the team! Can’t make it in person? Shop online using the code GIVEBACK-KKDWB between November 15–16 to have your purchase count toward our fundraiser.

  • IC Imagine Blood Drive on Friday, November 21st! Each donation can save up to three lives. Donating takes about an hour and helps patients in need of blood for surgeries, cancer treatments, and emergencies. [Sign up]

  • Launch Trampoline Park Meet-up!  Looking for something fun to do over Winter Break? Join us at Launch Trampoline Park on Tuesday, December 9 from 12:00–4:00 p.m. and help raise funds for IC Imagine! We’ll receive 20% of all ticket sales — a fun and easy way to support our school while burning off some winter energy.

  • IC Imagine Lower School Generation Dance.  This 50s-themed Sock Hop will take place Friday, January 9, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the IC Imagine Gym. This event is open to family pairs — such as parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren, or siblings. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased through Infinite Campus. Feel free to dress in 50s style, but be sure to wear socks, as no shoes are allowed on the dance floor. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase, and all proceeds will benefit the Upper School Chorus Trip.

We also have one more Winter Break camp opportunity to share. Zaniac is offering a variety of camps throughout December. Please visit their website to learn more and register.

Have a great weekend,

Jamie Williams & Ellen Girardi
