Lower School Families,
We’ve had a busy and exciting week here at Imagine! Many of our 2nd–5th grade students attended the interest meeting for The Lion King KIDS and participated in audition preparation. We look forward to seeing their creativity and confidence shine during auditions next week!
Yesterday we celebrated our 3rd annual Kirby’s DIVE Day, and it was a huge success! Students enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of teamwork, movement, and community building. Activities included obstacle course relays, tug-of-war, a water and dance station, basketball skills challenges, giant tic-tac-toe, kickball, and much more.

We also held a lockdown drill this week, and we are incredibly proud of how calmly and responsibly our students and teachers followed expectations and procedures. Their cooperation helps ensure that we are prepared and safe.
A reminder that Monday, November 10 is a Teacher Workday — there is no school for students, as our staff will spend the day in professional development and planning meaningful instruction. Tuesday, November 11 is also a school holiday in recognition of Veterans Day. We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend.
It was wonderful to see families participating in Bring Your Family to Spanish this week! Our next opportunity will be Bring Your Family to Theatre (Grades 3–5), coming January 26–30 — more details to come.
We also hope to see you at Lower School Open House on Thursday, November 13 at 5:30 p.m. This is a great time to connect with your child’s teacher, learn more about classroom routines and expectations, and engage with other Lower School families. During this event, we will also share our Annual Title I Information and resources to support your student’s success.
As we head into colder weather, please remember to send your child to school with warm layers labeled with their name. Our Lost & Found is currently very full, and many of the items do not have identification. We want to return belongings to the right students before we donate unclaimed items — labeling clothing makes a huge difference. Thank you for your help!
Mark your calendars for these upcoming events!
Support our Upper School Chorus students’ Disney trip by purchasing locally roasted coffee! The fundraiser runs Nov. 3–14, just in time for holiday shopping. You can order directly from a US Chorus student (supports their trip account) or through Infinite Campus → Other → Donations → Coffee Fundraiser (option to credit a specific student). Coffee orders can be picked up at the school on Nov. 21.
Kendra Gives Back event at Kendra Scott in Biltmore Park Town Square on Saturday, November 15th, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. Enjoy sips, sweets, and shopping while supporting the IC Imagine Cheer Team—20% of all purchases will go directly to the team! Can’t make it in person? Shop online using the code GIVEBACK-KKDWB between November 15–16 to have your purchase count toward our fundraiser.
IC Imagine’s Winter Market on November 20 from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. Enjoy student-made art, treats, gift wrapping, and a special Winter Band Concert to end the evening. All proceeds will support our Fine Arts Department — a perfect way to kick off the winter season.
IC Imagine will host a Blood Drive on Friday, November 21st! Each donation can save up to three lives. Donating takes about an hour and helps patients in need of blood for surgeries, cancer treatments, and emergencies. [Sign up]
Looking for something fun to do over Winter Break? Join us at Launch Trampoline Park on Tuesday, December 9 from 12:00–4:00 p.m. and help raise funds for IC Imagine! We’ll receive 20% of all ticket sales — a fun and easy way to support our school while burning off some winter energy.
Looking ahead, join us for our first-ever IC Imagine Lower School Generation Dance. This 50s-themed Sock Hop will take place Friday, January 9, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the IC Imagine Gym. This event is open to family pairs — such as parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren, or siblings. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased through Infinite Campus. Feel free to dress in 50s style, but be sure to wear socks, as no shoes are allowed on the dance floor. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase, and all proceeds will benefit the Upper School Chorus Trip.
Have a great weekend,
Jamie Williams & Ellen Girardi
