Lower School Families,
We’ve had a great four-day week kicking off Quarter 2 and seeing several grades head off campus for field trips! Next Friday, we’ll host our first ImagiNation Day, and can’t wait to celebrate our community with our Kingfishers. During the event, we’ll recognize our next DIVE Award winners, this time focusing on “I – I am a Leader,” as well as our students with Perfect Attendance for Quarter 1.
Reminder that the sign-ups for Kirby’s Dive Day is happening now! We have limited spots available. Sign up on Infinte Campus.
2nd- 5th grade families, we are excited to share that this year’s spring musical will be Lion King Jr. There will be an interest meeting about the production on Wed. Nov. 5th, so you can mark your calendars. Attending this meeting is the first step in the auditioning process. Be on the lookout for a Google Form to sign your child up for this meeting.
As many of you know, Mrs. Girardi and her family are expecting their second child in December. She will be on maternity leave when we return from Winter Break in January. We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Steve Molinari as our Interim Lower School Assistant Principal during her leave. Mr. Molinari will be on campus several days in October and November and is eager to meet our students and families.
Here’s a message from Mr. Molinari:
“It is a pleasure to introduce myself as the Interim Assistant Principal for the Lower School. My name is Steve Molinari, and I am excited to be joining this vibrant school community. I bring over thirty years of experience in education as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal, and a lifelong commitment to creating schools where every child feels seen, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential.
My role will focus on supporting teachers, students, and families to ensure that every learner experiences success each day. I believe that strong partnerships between home and school are key to that success, and I look forward to getting to know you and your children in the coming weeks.”
Next Wednesday, October 22, we’ll celebrate Unity Day! Be sure to wear orange to show your support for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion — and to remind everyone that no child should ever experience bullying.
We’ve loved seeing families join PE with their students! Up next is Bring Your Family to Art for grades 3–5, happening October 20–27. [Sign up here]
