Upper School Families,

Our Kingfishers are settling into the rhythm of the school year, and there is already so much happening across campus! As we look forward to another great week, we also want to continue growing our Kingfisher community.

Our families are our greatest advocates! We currently have limited openings in Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 6th Grade. If you know a friend, neighbor, coworker, or family member looking for a new school community, help us spread the word and introduce them to IC Imagine!  Learn More & Apply

CELEBRATION

Kingfisher Excellence!

We're proud to celebrate IC Imagine's recognition in the U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings!

IC Imagine was ranked #4 in the Asheville Metro Area, higher than Reynolds, F.S.I., Owen, and others.

This recognition reflects the hard work of our students, the dedication of our educators, and the support of our families. Most importantly, it represents the culture of learning and high expectations our Kingfishers continue to build each day.

We're proud of our Upper School community and excited about what's ahead!

ACTION ITEM #1

Share Your Photos for the Yearbook!

Help us capture the memories that make this school year special! The Yearbook Team is looking for photos from:

  • Summer break

  • The first day of school

  • Back-to-school activities

Have a great photo to share? Email it to photos and include your student's name and grade.

Yearbooks are available for purchase now! This is the lowest price of the year! Order early to lock in the best price and make sure your Kingfisher has a copy.

ACTION ITEM #2

Link Your Ingles Advantage Card

Your everyday grocery shopping can benefit IC Imagine at no additional cost to your family!

The Ingles Tools for Schools program resets every August, which means families need to relink their Advantage Card each year.

IC Imagine School Code: 31063

ACTION ITEM #3

Make Attendance a Priority

At the Upper School level, every class matters. Even excused absences mean missed instruction, conversations, assignments, and opportunities to connect.

Encourage your student to take ownership of their attendance and communicate early when challenges arise. Strong attendance is one of the most important habits students can build as they work toward graduation and prepare for what's next.

If circumstances are making regular attendance difficult, please reach out so we can partner with your family.

REMINDERS

Picture Day is Tuesday, August 25! All Upper School students will have their school photos taken, and Senior Portraits will also take place that day. Seniors should review the portrait information shared with them and come prepared for their photos.

The Upper School gravel lot is reserved for student drivers, and all student vehicles must display a parking tag on the windshield. Parents of student drivers may also use the Upper School lot during arrival and dismissal to switch drivers with their student. If your student needs a parking tag, please contact the Front Office.

Have a great weekend!
