Middle School Families,
What an incredible first full week of school! It has been exciting to watch our students reconnect with friends, establish routines, and begin setting the tone for a successful year. ACTION ITEM #1
Talk with Your Student About Dismissal
During the first few weeks of school, please remind your student to pay close attention during dismissal. Students should watch for their family's vehicle, listen for staff directions, and move promptly to their designated pickup area. A little extra attention helps dismissal run safely and efficiently for everyone.
ACTION ITEM #2
Help Your Child Build Strong Attendance Habits
Your child is an important part of our school community! We notice when they're here, and we miss them when they're not! Regular attendance helps students build friendships, confidence, strong routines, and a sense of belonging. As a family, reinforce that showing up matters, even on days when school feels challenging. If attendance ever becomes difficult, please reach out early so we can partner with you to support your child
ACTION ITEM #3
Support IC Imagine at The Hop!
Treat your family to ice cream while supporting our school! Join us next Monday, August 10, at The Hop – West Asheville. A percentage of all sales will be donated back to IC Imagine, making every scoop a sweet way to give back to our Kingfisher community.
REMINDER
Stay Engaged Through Infinite Campus
One of the best ways to support your middle school student is by regularly checking Infinite Campus together. Make it a habit to review grades, assignments, attendance, and upcoming fees as a family. Consistent communication at home helps students build responsibility and stay on track throughout the school year.
CELEBRATION
Celebrating Academic Excellence!
Last year, our Middle School students embraced our commitment to Academic Excellence, and the results were outstanding! They exceeded our expectations on the End-of-Grade assessments through hard work, perseverance, and a dedication to learning. We are incredibly proud of what they accomplished and look forward to building on that success as we begin another amazing school year together.
Have a great weekend,
