A note from the Fine Arts Coordinator,
What an incredible year it has been for the Fine Arts at IC Imagine. From art galleries, to band/chorus competitions, to the Winter Market, to incredible theater productions, to our Fine Arts Showcase and Fundraiser, our students have truly shined this year! Thank you all for your support of the arts at IC Imagine!
Some of the highlights of this year included:
Kendall Todd won the Congressional Art Award and will have her artwork displayed in the Capitol for the next year, along with several of her classmates participating and earning awards.
Another fantastic Skate Deck Art Gallery Show
Three tremendously successful theater productions (Macbeth, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid)
US Choruses participating in the Festival Disney competition for the first time
MS Beginning Chorus earning a Superior in Performance for the first time in IC Imagine history at the North Carolina Music Adjudications
Several MS and US band students participating in All-County, All-District, and All-State band and orchestra, including Julian Kasalu, who auditioned and was selected to the All-State Orchestra
A successful MS Chorus and MS/US Band Dollywood trip, with several superiors earned
And many more amazing achievements!
As we wrap up this school year, I want to take a moment to remind you of what your investment in the arts is doing for your students. According to the National Endowment of the Arts, “arts participation [is] positively correlated with many social-emotional attributes during ninth grade, while arts course completion was linked with greater academic achievement, high school graduation, and post-graduation incomes.” And according to the Wallace Foundation, arts “can boost students’ writing skills, build social and emotional skills, and increase school engagement.” Clearly, the investments you are making in the Fine Arts at IC Imagine will carry lasting impacts!
So, again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support. And thank you to our amazing Fine Arts Team, who work tirelessly to create programs that meet state standards, meet social emotional learning, and ultimately, create more creative human beings.

Middle and Upper School Bands
The ICI Band Directors would like to thank you all for your continued support of these student musicians. ICI Bands have put in much effort and yielded great results this year.
Between performing at Dollywood, our seasonal concerts, ensemble auditions, and All-district and All-state performances, we have seen amazing growth. Us directors are proud of the bright young musicians and good humans they’ve learned to be. Thank you for your support of ICI Bands!
From Ms. Orange:
Thank you. In my first year as a teacher, I feel extremely lucky to have been able to teach your children, and I hope to have made a positive impact on their musical paths. It has been so lovely getting to know these kids and they will hold a place in my heart for years to come. My next journey will be out West, to be an Elementary Music Teacher in Colorado. I am sad to move on, but I know next year will be just as great for ICI Bands, and I am excited to keep in touch to see all the amazing things you do.
Middle and Upper School Chorus
What a year it has been for the choruses of IC Imagine! We started the year with setting goals for each class, and each class has worked towards these goals all year long! Here’s a quick look at what this year included for the chorus students:
Fall Concert: “Celebrating the Power of Music”
Winter Concert: “The Sounds of Winter”
US Music Performance Adjudications, both large and small ensembles, where we brought home several excellents and superiors!
MS Music Performance Adjudications, large ensemble, where we brought home more excellents and superiors!
Spring Concert: “The Sound of Time”
US Chorus Trip to Festival Disney, where the choruses performed and several ensembles performed, and, again, brought home many excellents and superiors, as well as a best overall soloist and best overall trio!
MS Chorus Trip to Trills and Thrills Dollywood, where we brought home superiors!
Summer Concert: “Senior Choice: Pop Music”
And of course, we wish the best to our graduating choral students:
Sha’mya Johnson-member of the choral program for 7 years
Brooke Warren-member of the choral program for 7 years
Lauren Przynosch-member of the choral program for 3 years
Gabriel Maclean-member of the program for 2 years
Marco Roque-Zenteno-member of the choral program for 1 year
I am so proud of each group and each student and the work they put into their individual voices and choruses. I’m excited for next year and all that it will entail. Thank you all for your continued support of the choral program at IC Imagine!

It was a wonderful year and we're looking forward to all of the fantastic things that will be happening next year!!
We have 2 new courses starting up. Stained Glass 2 and Applied Arts!
Applied Arts promises to be a big class and with that in mind- We are looking for sewing machines for the applied arts class. So if you have one sitting in the closet that is functional ( it doesn’t have to be fancy!) and you would like to donate it, we would be glad to take it ( only working sewing machines with all the necessary parts please) . I will need about 10 more. You are welcome to email TraceyGuss@icimagine.org with any questions!
