Upper School Families,
We’re excited to celebrate Prom tonight! This year’s theme, Night on the Bayou, will bring a fun and memorable evening for our students. We have several exciting updates and events coming up! Progress reports will go home on Monday. Be sure to review your student’s progress and celebrate their achievements.
We are proud to announce that our Upper School Teacher of the Year is Melanye Crayton. She was nominated by her peers and will be interviewed in the coming weeks for the opportunity to be named the overall Teacher of the Year. Congratulations, Mrs. Crayton!
Next week is Staff Appreciation Week, and this year’s theme is Rooted in Community. We invite families to help us celebrate our amazing staff by donating to the appreciation fund, which supports meals, treats, and supplies. We still need volunteers on Wednesday and Friday morning.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to celebrate our student-athletes at the Spring Athletic Banquet on May 13 from 5–7 PM.
Our spring musical, The Little Mermaid, will be performed May 14–16. Tickets range from $5–$20, and the show is perfect for all ages, so we hope you will come out and support our talented students. As we prepare for the musical, we are currently seeking a few theater items, including scaffolding (six total, approximately 15–20 feet high), curtains for stage wings and a main bi-parting curtain, and an optional projector that is quiet and capable of front or back projection. Email Bryan Campbell if you can help.
Finally, we have a couple of fundraisers underway. Support our Upper School Imagineers by purchasing wildflower seed packs, on sale April 28 through May 6 for just $2. Orders can be placed through Infinite Campus, with delivery to classrooms on May 8—just in time for Mother’s Day. You can also support Kingfisher Cheer by purchasing a Zips Car Wash to help fund their journey to Regionals next fall, covering competition fees, travel, and new pom poms. Thank you for your continued support of our students and programs!
Have a great weekend!
