Upper School Families,
As we head into spring, we have several important updates and exciting events to share. We also encourage you to come out and support our spring athletics baseball, soccer, track, tennis, golf, lacrosse, and mountain biking, which are all underway.
As a reminder, we are planning to transform our picnic table and bus lot areas into a vibrant, accessible space with flat surfaces, seating walls, and improved safety features. This project will benefit both current and future students. We encourage you to consider making a donation that fits your family’s budget and to share this fundraiser with others. Donations matter; every dollar makes a difference!
Monday evening was a truly special night for IC Imagine and our incredibly talented Upper School artists. Our students brought home multiple awards at the 11th District Congressional Art Competition, and we could not be prouder!
Honorable Mention — Mara Emerson | "Violet Reverie" (Watercolor)
3rd Place — Caroline Canterbury | "The Dance" (Photography)
2nd Place — Owen Welton | "Yummy" (Watercolor)
1st Place — Kendall Todd | "Wrath" (Chalk Pastel)
Kendall's first place win means her artwork will travel to Washington, D.C., where it will hang in the United States Capitol Building for the next year — an extraordinary honor! Owen's award-winning piece will be displayed in the Congressional offices right here in Hendersonville.
Next Friday, April 24, is a teacher workday; however, students will participate in a virtual A Day. All assignments must be submitted within five days. Students will be marked “present” for Advisory if they complete at least two class assignments.
Prom is May 1. Students must be in good standing with attendance to attend. This year’s theme is “Night on the Bayou,” held at the Capital Club of Asheville from 7:00–10:30 p.m. Tickets are available for juniors and seniors through Infinite Campus. Please contact Ms. Bryant with questions.
We value your feedback. Please take a few minutes to complete our survey and help us continue to improve.
Our spring musical, The Little Mermaid, will be performed May 14–16. Tickets range from $5–$20, and the show is appropriate for all ages. Get your tickets for The Little Mermaid!
Have a great weekend!
