Upper School Families,
Help us congratulate our Boys Basketball team on making it to the quarterfinals! They had an outstanding season, and we are so proud of their hard work and dedication. Our Girls Basketball team won on Thursday and are traveling today to compete in the Championship Game tomorrow. We wish them the best of luck! Spring sports are starting up next week, including soccer and baseball, so be sure to come out and support our Kingfishers as the new season begins. Go Kingfishers!
For our juniors, we have another ACT practice day scheduled for Tuesday, March 3rd, beginning at 8:00 am and continuing until about 11:30 am. The practice test will take place in the IPAC on each student’s computer, so please make sure computers are fully charged. After the practice test, juniors will report to class for the rest of the day. This will be our second round of simulating the ACT in a realistic test setting. Additionally, an ACT Boot Camp will be offered this week from March 2nd through March 5th with Mr. Macken from 3:10 pm to 4:00 pm. Last week’s boot camp was well attended, and we hope even more students participate this week.
The official ACT for juniors will take place on Friday, March 6th at the school, starting at 8:00 am. Students should bring fully charged computers. Testing will conclude for most students around 12:00 pm, and they will be allowed to leave campus once finished. For students who need to stay on campus because of siblings or transportation, a supervised space will be provided.
Freshmen, sophomores, and seniors will have a remote learning day on Friday, March 6th, which is an A day. Teachers will post assignments in Infinite Campus for students to complete both for attendance purposes and curriculum progress. Students will have five school days to complete and submit the work to their advisory teacher. Failure to do so will result in an absence for March 6th.
The Lower School Musical is coming March 11th,12th, and 13th. Get your tickets early. These performances sell out quickly, and it’s always a joy to see our students shine on stage.
Finally, families are encouraged to keep on their radar the College Planning Info Night on Wednesday, March 18th from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the IPAC. More information will be shared as the date approaches.
Have a great weekend!
