Upper School Families,
It’s been an exciting week with Registration and Spirit Week in full swing! Students should have turned in their registration forms today. Thank you for staying on top of this important step.
We are also thrilled to announce our Junior Marshals! This prestigious accolade recognizes outstanding students for their leadership and contributions. Learn more about this honor here.
We’re also looking forward to tonight’s Dance, from 6:00–9:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased at the door. We are still in need of food donations to help make the night a success. If you’re interested in contributing, sign up here.
Do you know a family who might be interested in IC Imagine? Help us spread the word about our upcoming Discovery Day on Saturday, February 21, from 9:00–11:00 AM. We will also host Prospective Kindergarten Night on Thursday, February 26, from 5:30–7:00 PM. These events are wonderful opportunities to showcase our school and welcome new families into our community.
An admissions representative from Appalachian State University will be visiting our campus on Monday, Feb.23rd, during lunch! This is a wonderful opportunity for students to ask questions, learn more about the admissions process, explore academic programs, and gain insight into campus life.
All families are invited to enjoy an evening of live jazz music and dinner on Tuesday, Feb. 24th, from 5–6 PM. Skip the food line by preordering a $10 meal combo (sandwich, chips, and drink). Preorder deadline is today! Join us for great music, good food, and community fun.
Do you have photos from Winter Adventure Club? If so, please email them to photos@icistudents.org—our Yearbook staff would love to feature them in this year’s book! Also, the deadline to purchase a yearbook and guarantee your copy has been extended to Wednesday, February 25 (previously February 20th). Be sure to order before then to secure yours! www.jostens.com/ybkbuy
Junior families, we are offering another ACT practice day. This will occur at school on March 3rd, starting at 8 am and testing until about 11:30 am. After the practice test, juniors will report to class for the rest of the day. The practice test will take place in the IPAC on the student’s computer, so please have computers fully charged and ready to go. Best practice is to practice taking the ACT in a test setting, and this will be our second round of doing just that! An ACT Boot Camp will also be offered from February 23 through March 5. More details will be shared soon via email, and students will bring home additional information.
Families, please keep on your radar a College Planning Info Night on Wed. March 18th from 6 - 7 pm in the IPAC. More information to come!
Have a great weekend!
