Upper School Families,

It’s been another strong week in Upper School, and our students continue to show growth both in and out of the classroom.

We’re proud to share that IC Imagine has earned AP School Silver Status, an honor achieved by only 9–10% of AP-eligible schools nationwide. This recognition reflects our strong college-going culture and our commitment to expanding access to rigorous, high-quality coursework for students. It celebrates both participation and success in Advanced Placement exams, as well as early engagement that helps students balance challenge and growth. This is a major accomplishment for our students, teachers, and school community—and one worth celebrating!

Ms. Assadi’s advisory, volunteered at the Humane Society. Experiences like this allow students to give back to the community while building empathy, responsibility, and teamwork—core values we strive to nurture at IC Imagine.

Basketball season is still in full swing, and we’d love to see families in the stands cheering on our Kingfishers at an upcoming game. Your support makes a difference and means so much to our athletes.

We also want to share important upcoming information for our junior families. The ACT will be administered on campus on March 6. All other grade levels will participate in a virtual learning day. In the coming week, juniors will meet one-on-one with Mr. Shaughnessy to receive a personalized ACT study plan, and an ACT Boot Camp will take place from February 23 through March 5 to help students prepare. Additional details will be sent in a separate email, and students will bring home more information soon.

Save the date for the IC Imagine Middle School Chipotle Fundraiser on Tuesday, February 3, from 4:00–8:00 p.m. at the Chipotle on Brevard Road

We hope you enjoy the long weekend. As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, January 19, and Tuesday, January 20, in observance of MLK Day and a teacher workday

Warmly,

Julia Hodges
