Upper School Families,
Welcome back! We are excited to have students back in the building and ready to DIVE into learning as we begin the new year. Over the next couple of weeks, our focus will be on reconnecting with students, reviewing expectations, and setting a strong educational foundation for the months ahead.
We also want to share important information for our juniors and families regarding ACT testing. The ACT will be administered on March 6th at the school. All other grade levels will participate in a virtual learning day. In the coming week, juniors will take part in a one-on-one conference with Mr. Shaughnessy to receive a personalized ACT study plan. In addition, an ACT Boot Camp for juniors will take place from the week of February 23rd through March 5th to help students prepare. More details will be shared in a separate email, and students will be bringing home additional information soon.
We invite you to come cheer on our Kingfishers at one of next week’s basketball games and show your school spirit as our teams continue their season.
We are proud to congratulate the following students who were selected to participate in the Mars Hill Honor Band: Greyson Austin, Tesslyn Heater, Abigail Jack, Warren McElreath, Julian Kasalu, Henry Teahan, and Alexis Miggas. These students were chosen to be part of an ensemble composed of talented musicians from across Western North Carolina. Their performance will take place on January 24 at 4:30 p.m. on the Mars Hill University campus. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!
Enrollment season is here! If you love IC Imagine, help us spread the word by telling a neighbor, telling a friend! We are now accepting applications for new families through March 31st. Beginning February 1st, all current families will be prompted in Infinite Campus to complete their Intent to Return. This action is required for every family and helps us plan for the upcoming school year. Upper School registration for the next school year will take place during the week of February 16th.
Please save the date to support our Middle School at the IC Imagine Chipotle Fundraiser on Tuesday, February 3, from 4:00–8:00 p.m. at the Chipotle located at 879 Brevard Road in Asheville. A portion of the proceeds will benefit our students, and we appreciate your support.
As a reminder, winter weather season is here. In the event of a delay or school closure, families will receive notifications by email, text, and phone call. Updates will also be shared on social media and through WLOS.
