Our Basketball and Cheer teams have been hard at work preparing for this season and have begun with some dominating performances. The energy in the gym is not to be missed, so make plans to attend as many home games as you can to support our student-athletes. Even though Winter season is just starting, we already have things in motion as we prepare for the Spring season, so be sure to take a look below, and as always, please reach out for any questions.

3v3 Basketball Tournament
Kingfisher Athletics is thrilled to announce its 3-v-3 Basketball Tournament is back for its 4th season! This event gets bigger and better every year, and is guaranteed to be fun for students and equally as exciting for spectators.
This event is open to all 4th - 8th grade IC Imagine students
(Grades 4-5) Saturday, February 28th from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
(Grades 6-8) Saturday, February 28th from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
$10 fee per player, and will be paid at the door
Admission will be $10 per adult and $5 per child (ages 2 & under are free)
Students pick their teams
Teams must have a minimum of 4 players and no more than 5
Parents of the students should establish a line of communication
Teams will need to choose a team name and team color (1st color choice not guaranteed)
Winners receive individual trophies
Flag Football
We are talking with Asheville City Parks & Rec about fielding our own Kingfisher teams to compete in their youth flag football league this Spring. We know there is a demand for this at IC Imagine, and we hope to bring it to fruition this year. With that said, we will need volunteer coaches to make this happen, so contact Coach Irvin if you have any interest in helping coach one of our teams. The teams will be broken down into the following age groups.
8U - 2nd & 3rd
10U - 4th & 5th
12U - 6th & 7th
15U -8th & 9th
Age Divisions are based on players' age on March 31, 2026

M.S Boys & Girls- Thursday, January 8th, during lunch (11:30) in Mr. Barton’s room.
U.S Boys & Girls- Tuesday, January 13th, during lunch in Mr. Stalowy’s room.
MTB
MTB team registration is open. Practices will begin in January when we return to school. There is a team event in Old Fort at G5 trails for any athlete registered on November 22nd.
