Upper School Families,
We’ve had a great week in the Upper School! Students continue to impress us with their hard work, leadership, and school spirit. As we move deeper into the fall semester, there are several important reminders and exciting events coming up.
Our first Imagination Day was a huge success! Students spent the day connecting with peers, engaging in team activities, and helping beautify our campus through hard work and creativity. Thank you to our teachers and students for making it such a positive and fun experience.
Make-up Picture Day will take place on Wednesday, October 29. Upper School students will be called by grade for pictures.
Beginning this week and moving forward, the upper gravel parking lot will be locked each evening around 5:45–6:00 p.m. Any vehicles left in the lot after that time will be locked in until the following morning. To avoid any inconvenience, students who stay after school for practices, rehearsals, or other activities should move their cars to the lower parking lot before 5:45 p.m. Coaches and teachers supervising students will remind them to relocate their vehicles as needed. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our campus safe and secure.
We’re also thrilled to announce our upcoming IC Imagine Kingfisher Theatre production of Macbeth! Show dates are October 30 at 6:00 p.m., October 31 at 6:00 p.m., and November 1 at 1:00 p.m. Get your tickets here. Please note: Macbeth features stage violence and some frightening scenes that may not be suitable for viewers under the age of 13.
On Thursday, November 7, sophomores will take the Pre-ACT, and juniors will take a mandatory practice ACT on campus. Freshmen and seniors will remain off campus but must complete an assignment posted in Infinite Campus for attendance credit.
Attention Senior Families: The Yearbook staff is collecting senior quotes and an extra photo to accompany portraits. Please email submissions to photos@icistudents.org by November 6. Senior Yearbook Ads will go on sale November 29 and remain available until January 16, so be sure to save the date.

Looking ahead, ski season is right around the corner! Cataloochee Ski Area is once again offering discounted season passes for IC Imagine families. The deadline to sign up is today, October 24, so don’t miss out on this great opportunity.
Finally, be sure to save the date for IC Imagine’s Winter Market on November 20 from 3:30–6:00 p.m. Enjoy student-made art, warm treats, gift wrapping, and a Winter Band Concert to close the evening. All proceeds benefit the Fine Arts Department — a perfect way to kick off the winter season!
