Friday: Spirit Day
Homecoming Dance tickets are now available on Infinite Campus for $12. Families can help make the dance a success by donating food and beverages. Please check the SignUpGenius for needed items and drop off donations at the front office next week, marked for Homecoming. Thank you for your support!
Congratulations to our Varsity Volleyball team for finishing their season as Undefeated Conference Champions! We are so proud of this incredible achievement and wish them the best in the postseason tournament and State Playoffs. Special recognition goes to Shamya Johnson with 15 points, Jaedyn Miller with 14 kills, Loretta Smith with 27 assists, and Audrey Jones—our MaxPreps Player of the Game—with 18 kills, 5 receptions, and 6 solo blocks.
All students recently received Student ID cards, which also serve as NC Public Library cards. This partnership provides free access to books and resources.[Learn more]
IC Imagine is seeking community members to join our Board of Directors(not parents) to help guide the school’s growth and support student success. If you know someone who would be a great fit, please encourage them to apply. Parent opportunities will be available soon.
There are also two exciting ways to support our school this month. Join us at Chipotle on Brevard Road on Tuesday, October 7, from 5–9 p.m.—mention IC Imagine or show the flyer, and 25% of sales will benefit our Imagineers. Online orders can use code KNYE9LJ. In addition, our Chorus program is hosting a GotSneakers fundraiser from October 6–16. Donate gently used athletic sneakers to help raise funds for our program while keeping shoes out of landfills.
Our OCS program worked with the Non-Profit Blue Ridge Bird Banding Conservation this week. The students and teachers spent the day at Big Bald learning how to identify migrating song birds as well as obtaining data on each bird through observation. The students were instructed on how to use binoculars too! Big Bald is the second highest peak trailing Mt. Mitchell in our local area.
We look forward to celebrating Spirit Week, cheering on our athletes, and continuing to grow together as a school community!
Warmly,
Upper School Principals
