Dear Upper School Families,

It’s been a busy few weeks, and we’re looking forward to more exciting activities ahead. To help reduce traffic on McIntosh Road and improve dismissal, Blue Tag dismissal will move to 3:15 p.m. beginning Tuesday, September 30. Middle and Upper School students will continue dismissing at 3:10 p.m. Please arrive during your designated dismissal time to help keep traffic safe and smooth. Full details are available on our website under Arrival and Dismissal Expectations.

Senior families, please remind students to complete the senior form linked here and also found in Infinite Campus. This form is extremely important as it is the Cap and Gown order form.

We are excited to offer an ACT “Bootcamp” for this year’s Seniors, led by Mr. Macken. Sessions will take place after school from October 6th to 10th and October 13th to 16th, lasting one hour each day. The Bootcamp will focus on test-taking strategies and targeted support in key content areas.  The ACT retake exam, free for students, will be held on Friday, October 18th, at 8:30 AM at IC Imagine.  To help us plan, please complete this form to indicate your Senior’s interest. Students will be registered for the exam at school by September 30th.  For questions, please contact Patrick Shaughnessy.

Our seniors recently enjoyed a fun and memorable field trip to the Mountain State Fair.

imageIC Imagine is seeking community members to join our Board of Directors(not parents) to help guide the school’s growth and support student success. If you know someone who would be a great fit, please encourage them to apply. Parent opportunities will be available soon.

Support our Imagineers at a Chipotle fundraiser on Brevard Road on Tuesday, October 7, from 5–9 p.m. Mention IC Imagine or show the flyer, and 25% of sales will benefit our students. Online orders can use code KNYE9LJ. Our Chorus program is also hosting a GotSneakers fundraiser from October 6–16, collecting gently used athletic sneakers to raise funds while keeping shoes out of landfills.

Nurse Ashton reminds families that energy drinks and skipping meals can lead to headaches and fatigue—please encourage students to eat breakfast, bring lunch, and carry a refillable water bottle.

In the classroom, Ms. Assadi’s World Cultures students recently learned and performed El Gato, a traditional folkloric dance from Argentina.
