Upper

Upper School Families,

We are looking forward to another week of learning before Fall Break begins. Progress reports went home today.

Fall Break is scheduled for September 22nd–26th, followed by a Teacher Workday on Monday, September 29th. We are excited to celebrate our first Spirit Week of the year from October 6–10th, culminating with the Homecoming Dance on Friday, October 10, from 6:00–9:00 p.m. Spirit Week will feature the following themes:

  • Monday: PJ Day

  • Tuesday: Sports Day

  • Wednesday: Surfer vs. Cowboy

  • Thursday: Dress Like a Teacher

  • Friday: Spirit Day

Speaking of Spirit Week—have you ordered your yearbook yet? Yearbook sales are happening now, and this is the lowest price of the year. Don’t miss out on capturing all the memories! Visit jostens.com to order your copy today.

Next week, we begin our community service trips. A reminder that each Upper School student is required to complete 10 hours of community service each year. These experiences help students build character, develop empathy, and strengthen connections with the community around them. We are excited to see our Kingfishers learning and serving in meaningful ways.

In World Culture and Geography, students are creating projects in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15–Oct 16th). This activity allows them to practice research and presentation skills while also promoting cultural awareness and appreciation.
