Lower School Families,
Students have been working hard as we finish up our beginning-of-year assessments. These help us better understand where each student is starting, so we can meet them right where they are and support their growth this year.
School Pictures Are Now Available! To place your order, simply log into your account at mylifetouch.com or create a new account using your student’s ID number (which can be found in Infinite Campus). Additionally, all families can log in and request a complimentary digital SmileSafe Card.
Today, our teachers will have a dedicated workday to prepare for finalizing CLIMB Time groups and plan engaging lessons that challenge and inspire our students. We’re excited about the learning ahead!
Fall after-school opportunities begin next week! These programs are a wonderful way for students to explore new interests and connect with friends. Be sure to sign up so your student doesn’t miss out.[Learn more]
This year, we’ve kicked off the school day with video morning announcements. We’re thrilled that Mrs. Flood’s 1st grade class will be taking this over! We look forward to seeing more students join in as the year goes on—it’s a fun way to build leadership and school spirit.
In August, our social emotional learning (SEL) focus was on community and connection. Students practiced building positive relationships and creating a strong classroom community. For September, we will shift to Growth Mindset with the theme “The Power of Yet.” We’ll be encouraging students to embrace challenges, learn from mistakes, and believe in their ability to grow.
We are seeking Advisory Council members for the 25–26 school year and welcome applications if this is a way you might want to engage. The Council provides input on school priorities, climate, programs, and family/community engagement. Members may help review achievement data, give feedback on school initiatives, promote parent involvement, and strengthen connections within our community. We are always looking for representation across lower, middle, and upper school and from a variety of stakeholder groups. If you applied last spring, there’s no need to reapply. Learn more about the Advisory Council and apply here!
As a reminder, we are a Nut Aware School. We have several students throughout all school levels with severe, life-threatening food allergies to peanuts and nuts. Due to the severity of these allergies, we are asking that you be mindful of this when you are bringing food into our school. We need your cooperation to maintain a safe environment for all by avoiding nuts and nut products at IC Imagine.
We hope you and your family enjoy this 4-day weekend—we’re excited to keep diving into a year full of learning, growth, and community!
All our best,
Jamie Williams & Ellen Girardi
