Upper School Families,
We’re already three weeks into the school year! Teachers are diving into their lessons and beginning to assess students’ progress. Please keep an eye out for communication from your child’s teachers about what’s happening in class and any upcoming assessments.
This past week, students in the Upper School Journalism class had the exciting opportunity to interview the Answer Man, John Boyle, from AVL Watchdog. Through this experience, students gained valuable insight into identifying newsworthy stories, finding trustworthy sources, conducting persistent interviews, and investigating details to truly get the scoop on a story!
Picture Day is Monday, August 25th!
A flyer with ordering details was sent home with your student this week. If you’d like to purchase photos, please review the flyer for instructions. Seniors should have already signed up for their portrait time slot. For formal portraits, students should bring a white undershirt, tube top, or tank top to wear under the provided tux or velvet drape. Seniors may also bring extra outfits and jewelry for additional poses if they wish. Lifetouch will provide the tux, velvet drape, and pearls for formal portraits.
