What a fantastic start to the 2025–2026 school year! The energy in our hallways this week was incredible — filled with smiles, curiosity, and a renewed sense of excitement for learning. Ms. Hodges and Mr. Shaughnessy want to extend a warm welcome back to all returning families and a heartfelt greeting to those joining our school community for the first time. We're so glad you're here!
We know that the first few weeks of arrival and dismissal are bumpy and slower than they will be in a few weeks. Thank you for your patience as we get our new 150 families oriented and used to our carline systems and procedures.
North Carolina Individual Student Reports (ISRs) are now available for families in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. These reports include spring testing results for students that were in grades 3-12 during the 24-25 school year, as well as any applicable summer Read to Achieve (RtA) or End-of-Course (EOC) results.
Our athletics programs are kicking off for the season! Check the school website for full team schedules, tryout information, and game days. Let’s go, Kignfishers!
Calling all aspiring actors! General auditions for Macbeth will be held Monday, August 11, and Tuesday, August 12, after school in the IPAC. Students interested in auditioning should sign up on the sheet posted outside the theatre room.
Lastly, mark your calendars: School Picture Day and Senior Portraits are scheduled for Monday, August 25.
