Based on your responses to the Reopening Survey we sent previously, we know that many of you are not feeling comfortable with in-person instruction in August. Because of this, we have created a form for you to enroll in Virtual Learning and opt-out of in-person instruction.
Families should complete this form to enroll in Virtual (100% remote) Learning for the 2020-2021 school year by Friday 7/10/20. At this time, IC Imagine is planning to revisit all Virtual Learning decisions for all enrolled families after November 24th, 2020 (the beginning of Winter Break). If the situation improves sooner than that time (as demonstrated by COVID-19 metrics), we will review our plans and work with the families enrolled in Virtual Learning to determine the next best course of action.
We will be using the initial numbers from this enrollment form to inform our Plan A (full capacity) and Plan B (50% capacity). Each of these plans involve many elements. Due to the complicated nature of this planning we must ask that you commit to virtual learning once you have elected this option. Since the situation with COVID-19 remains fluid, we will create opportunities throughout the year for your family to choose a different option but this decision will only be revisited as we create those windows of opportunity. While we ask that you commit to virtual learning once you make the decision, you may at any time during the year switch from in-person instruction to 100% virtual learning.
If you do elect virtual learning and the school is on Plan A or Plan B, you can expect the virtual learning platform to be asynchronous with consistent opportunities to virtually check in with the teacher.
After submitting the form, you can expect to hear from the principal of your student’s school closer to the start of the school year about the school level’s plans.

Basándonos en sus respuestas al formulario de reapertura que enviamos previamente, sabemos que muchos de ustedes no se sienten cómodos con la enseñanza en persona para el agosto. Por esa razón, hemos creado un formulario para inscribirse en la Enseñanza Virtual y tener la opción de no tener las clases en persona.
Las familias deben completar este formulario para matricularse en un Aprendizaje Virtual (100% remoto) para el año escolar de 20-21 para el viernes 7/10/20. En este momento, IC Imagine está planeando volver a visitar las decisiones de las familias inscritas en Aprendizaje Virtual después del 24 de Noviembre del 2020 (comienzo del descanso de invierno). Si la situación mejora (siguiendo las métricas de COVID-19) antes de esa fecha, valoraremos nuestro plan y trabajaremos con las familias inscritas en el Aprendizaje Virtual para determinar nuestro siguiente paso.
Estaremos usando el número inicial de este formulario de inscripción para informar nuestro Plan A (Capacidad Llena), y Plan B (50% capacidad). Cada uno de estos planes contiene muchos elementos. Dada la complicidad de este planteamiento le tenemos que pedir su compromiso al aprendizaje virtual si has elegido esta opción. Como la situación con COVID-19 sigue siendo fluida, crearemos oportunidades a través del año para que su familia elija una decisión diferente, pero estas decisiones sólo serán revisadas cuando creemos ventanas de oportunidades. Mientras le pedimos que se comprometa al aprendizaje virtual si han tomado esa decision, tambien podra cambiar en cualquier momento del año del aprendizaje en persona al aprendizaje 100% virtual.
Si han elegido el aprendizaje virtual, y la escuela está en Plan A o Plan B, tu puedes esperar una plataforma de aprendizaje asíncrona con oportunidades consistentes de hacer check-ins virtuales con los maestros.
Una vez enviado el formulario, el director de la escuela de su estudiante se pondrá en contacto sobre el plan de la escuela más cerca de la fecha de entrada.
