Middle School

11.21.22

We are so proud of our middle school students who are making a difference in our community through service learning projects. We had over 30 middle school students in lower school classrooms last month. We look forward to supporting our lower school students again in January. Students from our NJHS have organized a clothing drive that will benefit Homeward Bound of Asheville. This drive is currently underway and we have already collected several coats and jackets. The planet savers have several projects to improve our campus. They just finished preserving our picnic tables by painting them. We look forward to the impact these amazing students will continue to make on our community.

10.27.22

Our middle school students have done a great job of meeting our high behavioral and academic expectations. Our middle school behavioral data has significantly improved from this time last year.

Our volleyball and boys soccer teams had very successful seasons. It is exciting to continue to watch these programs grow and improve. Our cross-country team ended its season on a similar note, with several students placing in the top 10 in our final meet. We have several students from our mountain biking team that have served as mentors for lower school students in our mountain bike club.

As always, our fine arts have been hard at work preparing and performing. We are so fortunate to have such talented staff and students!

Lost and Found

After the first month of school, we have quite a few items in our Lost and Found. If you believe your child has lost an item, please come by the school and look in there. There are jackets, hoodies, coats, lunch boxes, and water bottles.

Fall School Dance/Fall Festival

We will have our first school dance on October 21 from 6pm-8pm. We look forward to celebrating the fall with our students. We are having the Whole School Fall Festival the same night! Come join us for food, fin, family and games as we create a positive culture at our school.

8.26.22

We are so proud of our Middle School students. They continue to DIVE into all of our school expectations. We held a Middle School assembly today where Coach Irvin premiered his Kingfishers DIVE rap song. We also discussed what to expect next month during our ImagiNation Day on September 23. Below are other examples of how our community is DIVE-ing in Together!

08.25.2022

We have enjoyed the start of our 2022-2023 school year and getting to know our Kingfishers and helping to carve their individual paths to success. We also look forward to our fine arts performances, fall sports games, school dances and all other fall events.

ImagiNation Day

We will have our first ImagiNation Day (formerly Celebration Day) on Friday, August 26th, 2022. Students are able to dress out of uniform during this day. They have to follow the Upper School Dress Code during this time. Students will learn more about the activities for these days.

Parent U

We will hold our first Parent U on Sep 13, 2022, from 5:30 – 6:30. This will be an opportunity for parents and teachers to connect and learn how to support your child in each of their classes. We will share more details in the coming weeks.

Fall Sports Season

As we start up our Fall Sports (Boy’s Soccer, Cross Country and Volleyball), we look forward to attending all games and meets and creating an atmosphere of sportsmanship, positivity and school spirit. We wish all of our sports teams the best of luck this season.

Fine Arts Performances

In September, we will have our first Chorus Concert for the school year. Our Chorus teacher and Chorus students are working very hard to have the best possible school year of performances. See the Weekly Chorus Newsletter for updates.
