Morning Meeting

This year during virtual learning, we will have a special morning meeting show just for Lower School! Lower School students will get the link to the morning meeting video daily in Seesaw and Google Classroom. Check out this teaser video with your student as you start to get excited for the school year!

Daily Schedules and Synchronous Learning in Lower School

We know many of you are hoping to learn more about your student’s daily schedule and when you can expect your student to need to be logged in for their synchronous small groups. In Lower School, this information is grade level specific and should have come, or will come soon, from your student’s teacher. If you have specific questions, please contact one of the Lower School Principals or your child’s teacher.

A note about synchronous groups in Lower School. In Lower School, we’ve chosen to do a blend of synchronous and asynchronous instruction so that we can best meet the needs of all students and families. We know that many of you will not be able to sit down and help your students engage in small synchronous groups daily. If that is the case for your family, please discuss it with your student’s teacher at your getting to know you conference. We want to partner with you to make this year as successful as possible for your student.

Supply Lists

In order to be as successful as possible in the virtual learning environment, we recommend that you have the supplies on the supply lists found here on hand for your Lower School student. Please note, there is no expectation that you purchase new supplies for Virtual Learning if your student already has access to these materials at home. If you have any questions, please contact your student’s collegiate leader or Mr. Williams/ Mrs. Girardi (jamiewilliams@icimagine.org, ellengirardi@icimagine.org). If you are in need of support securing any of the supplies listed for your student’s grade level, please contact Mr. Holm or Mrs. Kinnaird (michaelholm@icimagine.org, ashleekinnaird@icimagine.org).

PBIS At Home

When transitioning education online, it is important to keep the same school-wide behavior expectations and to not forget to recognize champions when they exhibit leadership. Each champion will receive a “Star Book” from their collegiate leader to use at home. Students can earn stars from collegiate leaders or parents for exhibiting The 8 Habits, engaging in online learning and assignments and for taking responsibility for their own learning. Champions will then have opportunities to trade in their stars for rewards just like they would in the classroom.

In addition, please use the Virtual Learning Matrix to reinforce how to Engage, Value and Be a Leader in the virtual world.
