IC Imagine Board Overview
A charter school board makes sure the school it oversees meets all performance measures outlined in its charter. Each public charter school is governed by the board of directors of the non-profit organization that holds the charter. The board governs through its adopted policies and clear evaluative metrics. Its primary duties are to ensure that:
- The academic programs are successful
- The school’s operational programs comply with all terms of its charter
- The school is compliant in all statutory and regulatory requirements
- The school is financially solvent
Competent, professional staff are hired to carry out the operational plan. IC Imagine is blessed with an expert and experienced staff, led by the Head of School.
What can be expected as a board member
Board members participate in a monthly IC Imagine board meeting and can expect to also participate in one or more board committees (Finance, Academic, and Governance). The time commitment can range between 8 to 10 hours of service per month.
If you are interested in board service, please fill out the IC Imagine Board of Directors Application.
