Academic Philosophy
At IC Imagine, we believe in creating experiences for students to engage with their learning. All instruction is tied to the North Carolina State Standards. Our faculty provides hands-on learning opportunities and engages all types of learners by employing a multi-sensory approach. We encourage students to have a growth mindset and view learning as a process. Standards-based grading is used which means students’ grades reflect their mastery of each standard that has been introduced, not the course overall.
When students graduate from IC Imagine, many will have several college credits, some with associate degrees. Building upon the academic programming each year, IC Imagine graduates are prepared for college and career pathways and possess the soft skills necessary to successfully navigate the 21st century work environment.
